What are Carrier Oils?

While the carrier oils are known for "diluting" essential oils, they have amazing properties which help moisturize your skin and hair. Carrier oils can assist repairing dry, flaky skin underneath your beard, help cleaning the skin thus helping with irritated skin and acne. They also help keeping your beard soft by soaking up into the dry brittle hairs of your facial hair.

Pure essential oils are extremely concentrated which could make them too strong to apply undiluted. Essential oils are what give the beard oil its signature scent and will evaporate rather quickly by themselves. Carrier oils do not evaporate or have a strong aroma, making them the perfect for reducing the concentration of essential oils without changing the aromatic qualities of the essential oils.

Carrier oils vary widely in their consistency, absorption, aroma, shelf life, and other characteristics. Several carrier oils can be blended to change their properties, and are an essential quality of beard oil.
